This year will be lower than normal rainfall , the weather office issued the first estimate



The first season of monsoon forecast released today by the Department . According to the long-term forecast starting from June is expected to less than average rainfall in the monsoon season . Science and Technology Minister . Harsha said 93 % of normal rainfall is expected . This year, 35 % less than normal rainfall is expected . He also said that 28 % of normal rainfall is expected . This estimate is room for five per cent or less . The next estimate will be released in June . IMD report on the May 15 issue of the monsoon.

International Agencies expressed the risk of El NiƱo

The World Meteorological Organisation said on Wednesday that in most parts of South Asia Is likely to be less than normal rainfall . Organization in the central and northwestern parts of India, most are expected to be 25-40 per cent less rainfall . However , the southern peninsula , northern India and southern parts of India is expected that the normal monsoon .

There was a less than average rainfall in the monsoon
