Made of pure wool warm clothing prices climbed even higher than last year by 10 to 12 per cent, but cotton, polyester and acrylic made warm clothing prices have declined over the last year.Ludhiana Knitwear Club General Skretri Narinder Miglani said in an exclusive interview to the Times Money’s total production of pure wool winter wear has become less than 15 per cent of the product.Ludhiana, 85 to 90 percent acrylic and polyester is used in warm clothes. Thus, even if pure wool prices have risen, but it will have no significant impact on the prices of winter wear.In the wholesale market, which was drafted by acrylic sweaters, jackets and sweat shirts as product 10 to 15 per cent compared to last year are cheap.
The main reason for the decline in prices is the weak domestic demand. The late onset of the winter season and time for the wedding to be lower than last year at the demand pressure is being witnessed.
